Hi,
Are you sure it's the Win2k version? The TSE version barfs on win2k.
Anyway, you don't have to use cmptman.
One really quick and dirty test is to change
HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\control\terminal
server\MsgQBadAppSleepTimeInMillisec from 1 to 0 and reboot. This turns off
bad app retarding and if the application performs better, then its back to
doing some tuning.

I got a copy of the Win2K version of cmptman, but
when I double-click on it nothing happens. Obvviously
I am doing something wrong?

Hi,
Try something before you bag the app too much. It may just be being detected
as a "bad" appication.
Get a copy of cmptman (thethin.net downloads) and create an entry for your
application (executable name less the exe extension). Set to system default
values.
Alternatively, run regedt32, go to HKLM\software\microsoft\windows
nt\currentversion\terminal server\cpmpatibility\applications. Save the
msaccess key as %temp%\msaccess.key.
Now create a new key with the same name as your executable (less extension).
Restore msaccess.key in to the new key. Now try your application. If it's a
bad app it will be faster. If that improves things, then you can start
tuning things properly.

rick

Real open-ended qustion here. Anyone have any performance issues
with apps created in VB 6.0?
We have a custom-built app here written in it that I think is a dog.
But, not being a programmer, I
have no idea. Just wondering if anyone has had any issues. Win2k,
SP2 with MF1.8 SP2.
