I'm sure I actually posted the script to the list (saves me having to
sanitise the one I use in production).

Here's the URL for the message in the archives

I'm guessing I must have followed it up, but like you, can't seem to
find it by searching.

I'll sort something out, but I've gotta leave early today.

I'm not finding it. But I have never been able to find things in Jim's
archives so some odd reason.

Greg

I wrote a (login) script to do this, years ago (in Kixtart) - think I
posted it to the list. Search the archives for my name, and something
like userinitials

Does any one know how I can populate the user name and initials etc in
Office via a script? Or GPO. As long as it works.

It seems like I saw a post once where someone is doing that as part of
their logon script for their users.

I would like to do the same thing if possible. I searched the archives
but did not find what I was looking for.

Thanks!

Greg
