[THIN] Re: Universal Print Driver with FR3 - Good Enough on It's Own?

I've had issues with the UPD in FR3 where large jobs will hang in queue
(~20mb). Switching to a generic driver worked fine. Additionally, I
don't think the UPD has the compression that Thinprint and other
products like that have. So, on remote jobs it's the smart choice to
conserve your bandwidth, in my opinion.

I'd see how the UPD works in your environment and decide from there. Why
fix something that isn't broken.

Own?

Is it safe enough now with XP FR3 SP3 that I don't need to examine the
additional expenditure of Universal Print Driver add-on software
packages
like Tricerat, Thin-Print, etc.? Trying not to spend money, you know...
:)
