[THIN] Re: Trend Analysis / Server performance issue

Hi Angela,

Use perfmon from another computer and increase your sample intervals to
minimize the effect on your Citrix servers. Make sure they're small
enough to give you accurate information, though. I'll usually go about
1-5 minute intervals, but I usually only run 24-72 hours.

Subject: [THIN] Re: Trend Analysis / Server performance issue

Hi

Thanks for your replies. I will do some investigation in regards to
some of
the products you have mentioned. Id like to quickly get up to speed on
the
state of the servers by using perfmon for now then look into third party

products.

Can anyone recommend what counters I should use to do this? Memory
usage /
Page File and CPU appear to be the key indicators as these are the
settings
resource manager has alerted me on.

Ive never used Performance Monitor before. If I ran this on all servers
for
2 weeks, how much of a performance hit is it going to be?. My servers
are
stressing as it is. I don't want to bring them all down my monitoring
too
much information.

Any help appreciated

Angela
