Problem is, this information simply isn't logged as far as I can tell, just had a poke around in the raw event log data and it does not exist for application popup's (the 2 minute warning) and also application errors :-( Would need some kind of hook to trap the entry as it's written to the event log and then workout where it was coming from and maybe write a second event log entry... Not too straight forward unless anyone else has any idea's ??? -----Original Message----- From: Andrew Cooke [mailto:acooke@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 08 December 2004 14:21 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Thousands of application MESSAGES IN EVENT LOG ! help Every time a user get a message "Your session will timeout in 2 minuites" it puts the message in the event log. Even worse simply looking at the event log does not tell you who the message was sent to The same goes for application error messages. (in win2003 dr watson equivalents) AGAIN no idea who got the error. Anyone got any tools, script or anything I'm desprate.. Failing that if nothing exists, it would appear to be a GAP in the market.. Any developers around :) I do know (and don't get confused) about the many apps that COLLATE event logs.
