We've written a small app that creates connections to network printers (using the con2prt utility) at login. We have full lists of users and machine names in an SQL Server database, which we query to find the relevant queue names. It's a little complex but avoids endless tweaking of login scripts and has served us well since day 1 of our rollout. -----Original Message----- From: Adam.Baum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Adam.Baum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 10 February 2003 15:07 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Thinclient devices and printers Hi All, I am about to start rolling out thinclient devices to my endusers. I am trying to figure out the best way to handle printing. I have nine print servers/appliances on the network that handle all network printing. I have imported them into the farm. What's the best way to point the thinclient devices to them? Should I add mappings in the user's logon scripts, should I autocreate based on username? what do you do? My farm is W2K SP2 XPe FR2. adam ********************************************************* This Week's Sponsor - RTO Software / TScale TScale increases terminal server capacity.
