Well. The UPD from Citrix (I assume that is what you are talking about) has some functionality as far as a UPD. Not bad really. But check out our Printing White paper (Really the printing chapter from our book) Its available from Brian Madden's web site. The UPD from citrix is really a couple of HP Drivers that are used for different types of printers. There's more to it, but its really a fancy driver with a mapping algorithm. The software like thinprint is totally different. Check out the paper it has LONG descriptions of the entire print process.
