[THIN] Re: TS Licensing issue...

Thanks. we found the issue. Our Enterprise group had upgraded a TS Licensing
server in the ENT domain to 2003 but it didn't have our TS Licenses on it. All
TS servers were going there for licenses and were getting 2003 temp licenses.
We have got it all straightend out now. Chalk it up to lack of communications.

Thanks,

Michael Boggan

What kind of error messages are you seeing in the event log? Are your
terminal servers able to discover the license server? If it is primarily a
client issue you might try the following:

  First backup the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE|Microsoft\MSLicensing

Remove the MS licensing registry key on the client and verify permissions on
the rebuilt key. Users need at least read permission on the license key.

First, thanks for all the help on my NFuse error yesterday. We have
narrowed it down to a licensing issue.

Which leads me to my request. Is there a TS Licensing guru out there who's
brain I can pick for some answers to our dilemma?

    Thanks,
