[THIN] RE: [THIN] Re: .NET 2.0

The fix to make ASC work with .NET 2.0 is rather simple (at least it was
for me). This article's explanation worked. I just opted to remove
.NET 2.0 after the fact anyway, since I didn't need it anyway:

http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX109099

I'm also seeing these errors in application log on the 4 app servers
that still have .NET 2.0 installed:

Source: .NET Runtime, Event ID: 0, Category: None
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( .NET Runtime ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry
information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote
computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this
description; see Help and Support for details. The following information
is part of the event: Unable to open shim database version registry key
- v2.0.50727.00000.

I haven't researched on a way to fix this, or to find out if this can
just be ignored, but agian, I'm just going to remove .NET 2.0.

Short answer, yes... Long answer, it takes a little bit of work if you
want to run the Access Suite Console along side of a .NET 2.0 app.
Currently, the ASC is the only known issue with .NET 2.0

Yeah that should work. We did the same thing on one of our
servers and I was able to uninstall it.

I mistakenly let .NET 2.0 installed on all my PS4
servers this weekend. I uninstalled it from my WI server and
aspnet_regiis -i under Framework 1.1 and I was able to manage my WI4.0
site fine (the site still functioned fine with 2.0 installed BTW).

I'm getting .NET 2.0 errors in the event log on the
actual app servers. These servers don't run IIS, so should just a
standard uninstall of .NET 2.0 be good enough?
