Coupled with 64-bit platforms so you can get 2GB RAM (or more) for more than 2
users on a server, that could really be something.

Hi,

From the sounds of the message at iforum, Citrix have developed a new 3-d
acceleration product called pictor that really hurries opengl along. The 3d
performance they demonstrated was quite impressive.

I believe it will be included in PS 4.5 (ohio).

OK, then the answer is ... your users will hate it. Their screen refreshes will
be abominally slow and their frustration levels skyrocket. (This will be true
of any application relying on hardware graphics acceleration, not just
SolidWorks...)

Right now Citrix doesn't have a good answer for hardware graphics acceleration
on their platform, although I understand that's one area to be addressed in
future version of Presentation Server. Just not yet.

This is one of my concerns. That's why I'm asking.

How are you going to handle the 3-d graphics issues?

I would like to learn more about using Solidworks on a Citrix Presentation
Server. Does anyone have any information or statistics that they can share
with me regarding this setup?

Thank you!
