[THIN] Re: Slow logon performance

not firewall services,
1. disable anti virus on Citrix servers and Client system
2. ask user to login and check the time and logg off session, do this for 4 or
5 times

that did help a bit but not fully.

  The
first thing you need to do is find the cause so switch on Userenv Debug and
  prove where the delay is.

  If
it’s profiles then watch out for LFS (little file syndrome) cookies are the
problem as they’ll bring fileservers to their knee’s.

  Have
a look at Flex Profiles / Solution 4 / Appsense Environment
Manager.

Subject: [THIN] Slow logon
  performance

  I have a client
that is experiencing slow logon performance. I have worked with them to limit
  the size of the profile,

  However, I think
they are paying the performance penalty because they have an unusually large
  number of GPO’s

  linked to the
Terminal Server OU and the large number of Citrix policies. They have GPO’s
  and Citrix policies for

  each site, 30 or
more. The only way I see to fix this is to limit the number of policies.
Also,
  is there a Microsoft

  Hot fix for logon
performance for Windows 2003 SP2 (not R2)? There was one for Windows
  2000.

  Thanks,

  Mike
