Andrew
Does it matter if the Zone Data collector is on a separate VLAN? Should
this be moved with the Presentation Servers??
Thanks

'I've been assured' - I'd still test it tho' if I had 1p for every time I'd
been dropped in by assurance I'd have enough to buy a mix-up ;)
A zone isn't defined by a subnet, like say, you can define a site within
AD.
While the default zone name is taken from the server's IP address, the zone
name (and IP addresses of the servers within the zone) can be anything. Its
up to you as the admin/farm designer to define whats 'in' a zone. So you
can
change the zone name (if you've left it at a default) or create a new zone
-
but I'd say its more of a cosmetic change to avoid confusion than a
functional one. I'd say, simply rename it.
The license server doesn't need to be on the same IP address range - so
from
what you describe it might be more straightforward to keep it as is.
Hth.

Hi
Ive been assured the 2 VLAN's will see each other and there will be no
controls / restrictions between the VLANs. Ive recently been informed that
only the PS4 servers are moving, not any of the backend servers such as
SQL,
Web interface etc. This should make the change even easier.
We have a dedicated server running as the Zone Data Collector / Terminal
Services Licensing Server. Would you suggest this server be moved to the
new Citrix VLAN so its on the same network as the other PS4 servers or does
it not matter??.
Will the Citrix server zone information automatically change when I move
the
servers into the new VLAN or will I need to manually change zones for each
server once its moved?
The only hardcoded reference I found is in a AD GPO which points to the
Terminal Services License server. Everything else uses the DNS name.
Thanks
Ang
