Our problem has to do with Compaq servers. As far as I can see now it was caused by corrupted HP 4050 drivers. Corruption was caused by a temporary fault in the Epacity (DSL) network: no packets bigger than X were properly transported. In case of problems of this kind with Dell servers, I would first look at the battery on the RAID controller: it might need reconditioning. (Corné?) Jos van Kuyen Content B.V. The error (The bugcheck was: 0x0000007f (0x00000008, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)) can also be cause by a faulty driver. I dealt with a server earlier this week that crashed with the same stop code. I searched for the file "Hpblg2.dll" and found that it was installed and associated to the HP Color LaserJet 4500 drivers. Upgrading the drivers fixed the problem. Is it possible that a user is connecting to the server an auto-creating a printer with a bad HP driver? They had a farm of 12 identical servers, all with an identical image. And only one of these kept crashing every few hours, but only when it was in use. After stopping logons to that server, it kept running for days without a problem. As soon as I would put some stress on it, it would crash within minutes. Yet Dell's hardware-test tools would give no clue as to what the problem was. As I left this client before the problem was solved, I don't know their solution. I know a colleague at that client reads this Thin-list, so maybe he can fill in...
