It's extremely easy to deploy an ActiveX control. I've zipped up a
script and placed it here for you to look at:
http://www.jhouseconsulting.com/downloads/SQLReportingServicesClientPrin
tControl.zip

Once it's scripted up, you simply deploy it once as an Administrator,
and away you go.

Cheers,
Jeremy.

ActiveX components are typically files that simply need to be copied and
registered.
(dont forget to unregsiter them before removing).

Hmm. Well we don't know how to make the MSI and we don't have Altiris,
and
we don't know Installation Manager (although maybe it's time to find
out!)

I create msi files for the ActiveX control(s) and deploy via
Installation
Manager or Altiris.

We'd rather not ... How else can we deploy this to them?

We are trying to deliver some SSRS 2008 reports to users on a Citrix
XenApp
5.0/Windows 2003 Terminal Services farm. The report generates properly
on
the screen, but when the user tries to print the report, they are
prompted
to install the SSRS 2008 Report Viewer Active X control. This appears to
succeed, but when they print, they get an error message stating: "Error
Loading Resource Library (0x8007007E)"

These users are Power Users on the Terminal Server, but not
Administrators.
Administrators do not have any problem. Users are using IE 7.0. We are
also
using Screwdrivers v4, but I'm not sure that is contributing to the
problem.
