[THIN] Re: Roaming profiles not being deleted

Hi Hector - have you got any group policy in place for the Client DNS
service (either forcing to start or forcing to disable) ? It is just that
it really sounds like the same issue I had - which none of the MS hotfixes
rectified. I tracked it down by disabling all GPOs applying to the
server, forcing a gpupdate, and then re-testing by logging in/out to see
if profile was cleaned up. Once this worked, it was just a matter of
narrowing it down from there.

Cheers,

Yeah, I found that out when I tried to install it.
I also installed UPHClean and the profiles are still not being deleted. I
don't know how to fix this.
I may have to rebuild this server and carefully monitor what breaks it.

This is not a Service Pack 1 hotfix. On a clean SP1 deployment the
Browseui.dll is already at 6.0.3790.1830, and the Iedkcs32.dll is at
16.0.3790.1830.

I called Microsoft and got the fix. I have not installed it, yet.

Is it pretty safe to install this fix? Has anyone had to install it?

Hi all, I've been using roaming profiles for quite a while on
Windows 2000 and I have them set to delete them

This same setting does nor seem to work on my Windows 2003 PS 4.0
server. It deletes everything in the profile except the
"Cookies" and the "Local Settings" folders.
Needless to say, this leaves multiple copies of profiles.
I am aware of UPHclean and how this may solve this, but is this
normal behavior for 2003 or am I missing something?

        Thanks in advance,
