Dan,
You can do 1. With group policies or local policies - here's a starter
http://www.msterminalservices.org/hidedrives.cfm
You can't do 2 - content redirection works for redirected URLs only - so you
can redirect a web page, or (say) streamed video/audio content to the local
device's web browser: but not, say, get an citrix app to launch a word
document from the local version copy of word. This would be neat - but its
not possible. Heres a document explaining server-> client redirection in
more depth http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX113457

Subject: [THIN] Remove Server Drives & Content Redirection
I have two problems
1. I would like to remove the 'C' and 'D' drives from the list of
available drives and it only shows the users network drives, how can I go
about doing this?
2. I also have a piece of MIS working perfectly in on my Citrix Server,
but what i would like to do is if the User has Office installed on their
client machine any reports run by MIS are 'pushed' to the Client machine and
not run on the office install on the Citrix Server, i have turned on Content
redirection but this has not worked.
Any advice is greatly appreciated
Thanks
Dan
