A Mr Herzog will be long shortly to put the case for TScale.

Subject: [THIN] RTO's Tscale vs Aurema's ARMTech shootout

Hi,

I have a client with 50 users and 2 Metaframe XPa servers on windows =
2000
standard SP4. Both servers have 4 GB RAM which is for 75% (3 GB) =
consumed
in the afternoon of a typical day.

This client wants to optimize his memory usage so that when one servers
would die, the other one would be able to sustain the load. I am in the
process of evaluating RTOsoft's Tscale and Aurema's Armtech. At this =
point
I looked at Armtech which I think only gives me the possibility to put
quota on users CPU and memory usage. What I am looking for really is
something that does pure out-of-the-box tuning so that my server =
consumes
less memory (be it virtual or real memory) without putting quota on =
users
server usage.

Questions:
1. is this possible? (ie. pure application optimization without the need
to enforce quota)
2. can this be done by one of these two products? If not, is there a
product that I don't yet know about?

Thanks a lot for your answers,

Erik Blom
