Have you tried installing it without SmartStart? Manually configure the =
hard drive and boot from the 2003 CD. You never know.....

I'd love to use a new version of smart start. 5.3 is the latest we =3D
actually have right now. I was searching compaq yesterday to find a newer

I am attempting to install server 2003 on a Dual 500 Compaq DL-380. =3D
However
it will not recognize that the machine is dual processor. I am using
SmartStart 5.3 but no luck. When I run the Windows install, I get =3D
asked
which partition to use and then everything goes automatically. Any =3D
ideas about how to get windows to see the second processor? Jason
