Give this a shot. There are some other customizations that need to be
made. This document is a little old (2002 version) but it works for
2003 as well.

Also, check in the user's profile in the WINDOWS directory to see if the
pcw100.ini file has changed to pcw100.*. If the extension has changed,
change it back to pcw100.ini.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

ISSUE: Application will not launch for more than one concurrent user.
Peachtree documentation indicates that multi-user systems (stated as
Windows XP workstations, presumably to apply to Terminal Services as
well) require that one user logoff before the next user login. Peachtree
Technical Support rep indicates they do not support Terminal Services
Configuration. Citrix Technical Support has no information on the topic.

RESOLUTION: Each user requires a separate pcw90.ini file, which is
normally stored in %systemroot%. Peachtree exclusively locks this file,
which stores individual user settings, preferences and data locations.
Login scripts should be modified to include an If Not Exist copy
pcw90.ini to %homedrive%%homepath%\WINDOWS.=20

The default location for the Btrieve MKDEMSG.TXT and MKDEWE.TRN files is
%systemroot% and must be changed in the registry to point to the Windows
folder within the user's home folder. This registry edit is
accomplished, with the proper registry editing precautions, as follows:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\BTRIEVE TECHNOLOGIES\MICROKERNEL WORKSTATION
ENGINE\VERSION 6.15\SETTINGS=20

KEY=3DHOME DIRECTORY
TYPE=3D REG_SZ
DATA=3D%HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%\WINDOWS\

Ok i got past this now when I run it, it tells me that another user is
running the software on this server and to have them close it before I
can
run it again. No one else is running this software. But even then,
shouldn't more then one person be able to run it?

HELP!!!

Thanks,

The Peachtree ini file needs to be copied into each users profile under
the Windows directory. You need to have the PCW100.ini file (100 is the
version number, so seach accordingly) and the BTI.ini file. Both of
these are found in \WINNT\.

A word to the wise - if you have Win2k SP3 on your server - you won't be
able to print through a terminal services session, only from the
console. I don't know why, yet.

I installed the PeachTree accounting software on one of our servers but
when
trying to run it I get the following error.

"PeachTree could not detect the status of the PeachTree ini file."

Has anyone installed this before or does anyone have any suggestions? It
is
PeachTree 2003 complete accounting software. and WinNT TSE / XP FR1.

Thanks,
