I have a question regarding locking down network print queues. We recently rolled out a Lexmark Document Distribution Systems that takes a datastream printed to a network queue that points to a pipe and merges it with a mapped PDF, and then send it all down to the IP printer. The problem is that the datastream sent from an internally developed web-based application (run in IE) gets corrupted if the users play around with any of the settings (Portrait, Landscape, Letter, Legal, copies, collate). Does anyone know how we might lock down either the print queues (generic/text, pipe-based) or the profiles (mandatory). Each mandatory profile has 2 to 6 print queues, one pipe queue for each network queue, and I would prefer to lock down just the pipe queues, but I may consider locking down ALL queues if their is a way to implement that. Any possibilities or options anyone might suggest would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, rob 24 Hour Fitness, Inc.
