I was a bit turned off by this at first as well. We run DOS clients on the shop floor, and of course, they have no printers, so we would right click a printer we had imported and grant rights. NOW, I need to create a policy for each of those printers and assign users to it. So much for cutting down on my policies. Won't the additional policies eventually slow down logon times? _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Anthony Green Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2005 8:17 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] PS4 Network Printing With XPe we assign network printers to users through the Citrix Management Console and only allowed autocreated client printers. We like this method because we can give helpdesk staff the ability to add people to printers very easily. With PS4 that this facility has now moved into the policies. Most of the network printers are assigned to small groups of people, and we do not give users access to other peoples network printers. Am I thinking right in thinking this means I will have to create a policy for each network printer, and then assign the users who want to use a network printer to that particular policy? damn! Thanks, Ant.
