Guess I should have mentioned Ill be using Converter 3 Enterprise.
That's how I've done all of my boxes. I go into msconfig and disable
all non-MS service and reboot. Then I'll shut down certain MS services
if the box is, say, a SQL box, or Exchange box. Have only been unable
to P2V 1 old Win2000 w/IIS5 box, but everything else has worked fine
over a dozen machines including Exchange, SQL, BES server, ePO server.
This is the first time I'm trying CPS.
Just wasn't sure if there was something special I should do on a
TS/Citrix box after the fact. Doesn't seem like it.

Yes use converter 3 It is a free download from VMWare.
http://www.vmware.com/download/converter/
It lets you connect to a machine while it is still powered on, loads a
little client and you can make a VM of it while it is still running.
Note it will take several hours for this process on say a 30 gig server
and the vmdk file will be about the same size. You may also have to
relicense the OS once it comes up in the VM depending on the version.

I need to P2V a couple CPS 4.0 R03 boxes that are no longer used

them. Are there any gotcha's when doing a P2V to VMware ESX 3.0.x, or
do I just let it rip?
