I've deployed several Leaf Bering firewalls. No cost for the software, runs on commodity hardware, and has numerous other capabilities if needed (VPN server/client, DNS server, DHCP, NTP etc...) Can be configured to boot from compact flash, CDROM, floppy, or, my preference, an old hard drive that spins down after boot (firewall runs from a ramdisk.) http://leaf.sourceforge.net - Bob Coffman -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Bill Beckett Sent: Tuesday, March 30, 2004 1:19 PM To: 'windows2000@xxxxxxxxxxxxx'; 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Opinion Just want to get the illustrious list's opinion on firewalls out there. We currently run a Netware product and are looking to replace it. Opinions on firewalls? Either hardware or running on a server. ******************************************************** This weeks sponsor Emergent Online.
