CCS is ok. It's a VBS solution with a custom com object. Their web interface for modifying the XML files is clunky. I tend to just edit the XML files directly. (Of course they might have fixed it since I have stopped using it).=20 It has a automatic install (another VB script) that is pretty easy to setup. The drawback I have is their limited look at it. Last time I did it I had to customize their script to pull some ADSI info to find the user's home dir. The problem is they assumed that ALL users had the same server hosting home dirs and used the same drive letter... Had to script it and pull these into variables for the script. The other drawback I see is that it uses an Admin account that requires elevated privileges on the metaframe servers AND in the user's home dir, where something like the flex kit runs as the user and does not need that.=20 Ron Oglesby Senior Technical Architect Microsoft MVP, Windows Server=20 =20 RapidApp, Chicago Office 312.372.7188 Mobile 815.325.7618 email roglesby@xxxxxxxxxxxx =20 -----Original Message----- From: M [mailto:mathras@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Monday, February 23, 2004 3:51 PM To: Thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] O/T choice between Hybrid profiles question Hello there, I have the choice (cant believe it myself) of choosing between between CCS Hybrid Profiles and another hybrid-type profile solution...Tricerat Simplify Profiles. Does anyone have any feedback about either the CCS offering or the Tricerat offering from a functionality point of view. Any feedback would be useful. regards ******************************************************** This weeks sponsor triCerat Inc. triCerat makes your job easier by offering essential applications to eliminate your printing, policy and profile, and your application management problems. http://www.triCerat.com=20 ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or=20 set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm ******************************************************** This weeks sponsor triCerat Inc. triCerat makes your job easier by offering essential applications to eliminate your printing, policy and profile, and your application management problems. http://www.triCerat.com ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm
