Sorry, all I have is Win98, but it works as I described there. No remote
access service is needed.

And yes, if your host's phone line is being used by the modem, they will
have difficulty calling you with their current IP address. Cell phone?
Neighbor's phone? Email?

Hmm, fuzzy memory. I think the host system starts the listener running
(shows up in the system tray) and the controller system can connect to
it by its IP address. If I get the opportunity, I'll try it out and let
you know.

Does Netmeeting host the modem connection?  As there is no remote
access service to do this for it. (otherwise I would have used VNC in
the 1st place)
