yes it is possible.  do you want to boot from the new 5300.  do u still
want to utilize the 5i.  but basically all this handle by the compaq
utility as you boot up.

Bit off topic but i was just wondering if anyone has achieved what im
after:

Is it possible to add a Compaq 5302 Raid Controller into a Compaq DL 360 G2
?
ie adding the 5300 internally and bypassing the onboard 5i
