Subject: [THIN] OT: Oracle Client
W2K3 R2/SP server, MPS4.0, local DS, using Oracle 10g client for client apps.
Using filemon I see the app is looking for a file named oraociei11.dll, which
doesn't exist. There is, however, a file named oraociei10.dll which makes sense
since we have 10g installed and oracle typically puts the major version number
in their file names. So why in the heck is this app looking for a version 11
file? I.e., where does the app get the info from regarding what files it should
be launching? I've searched the registry - nothing. Next up, text search every
file on the box.
Needless to say, the app isn't getting connected to oracle.
Any oracle God(desses)s here?
thanks
