No.  You wouldn't have to reboot.  A reboot is only required if you are
going to add the GC role to a DC.  The switching to Native Mode process is
just updating the schema, and then replicating that change to all DC's and
GC's.  The same applies for Exchange 2000/2003.

or network connections lost?  We are ready to make the switch, but wanted to
