[THIN] OT: File Search software (aka KVS, Persist, etc.)

Slightly off topic here, but I am in need of a good file
searching/export utility. We are currently using KVS for email, but
they do not make a file server verison as of yet.
Does anyone have any first hand experience and any input for or against
any software?
