Depends what type of domain you have. NT4 I believe TSCMD is the way to go.

I used TSCMD to change 7000 accounts. Had a little script that did it.
Took 2 or so hours. Also made sure I backed up all settings first. We also
have a 2K domain and to change the same number of accounts using some ADSI
scripting takes about 5 mins....

I appreciate the tip, but it doesn't afford the ability to change the rest
of the settings, like the timeouts, and shadow settings, etc etc..

I guess I'll have to stick with my ugly little scripted version of tscmd..
:( It's just so darn slow that way..

If it's the Terminal Server profile path that you want to change in a
Windows 2000 domain, then download the code from here:

http://www.winnetmag.com/WindowsScripting/Article/ArticleID/20509/20509.html
<http://www.winnetmag.com/WindowsScripting/Article/ArticleID/20509/20509.htm
l>

Register the terminalserver.dll and write a script as per the example shown.

This will change/set the TS profile path for you.

Very simple.

Cheers,

Jeremy.

Oops.. That's what I mean was tscmd.. I don't know WHY I kept typing
tsadmin.. LOL

That's the only one I've found yet.. But Angus mentioned one that can do it
based on group memberships or being fed a text file.. Perhaps TSCMD has
this built in and I just haven't explored enough yet.. Dunno

I know that, but someone else mentioned something about TS profile paths,
and I was wondering if the utilities you mention can change TS properties...

He asked about a profile path, whiuch is a basic option in AD Users and
Computers, thats the kind of stuff these programs update. Not stuff inside
a profile, that's entirely differnt.

For TS profiles, or just for regular profiles? So far the only utility that
I've found (that's free) is TSAdmin.exe...

If there's a better free utility for editing TS properties, I'm all ears...
Hopefully it's a command line utility (so it can be scripted)..

Hyena and Dameware NT Utilities do this, as well as many other things in
bulk. You can download free trials.

I have a tool that will update any TS settings for the members of a given
group or for any list of users that can be fed in as a text file. You're
welcome to a copy if it would be useful.
