[THIN] Re: OT: 2000 Domain controller problem

This could be a DNS issue - have you tried letting it sit there at applying
your setting for up to 1/2 hour? If it finally logs in then you will likely
see a event that will point to unable to determine computer name.
If so double check your DNS settings.

Yeah I tried killing the login from another server running TS manager, but
it didn't work.

We have seen similar problems. From what I've seen personally, it looks as
though a thread or process is getting stuck in a previous session via TS.
If you kill the old TS session, you can avoid rebooting the DC. As far as
the problem goes, I don't know what is causing it...however, this solution,
if it is the same problem as yours, seems to work.

I have a windows 2000 domain controller with TS for admin. I am having to
have it rebooted once a day sometimes because I go to login to it and it
just sits at "applying your personal settings" after logging in. If I
reboot the server it works fine. Has anyone got a clue as to why this is
doing this? =20 _________________________________ =20 Michael Boggan Network
