[THIN] Re: ** Novell 4.83 SP1 Client passing login credentials**

Can't say I've used that particular option, although from within the
same settings window on the advanced tab of the ICA connection
configuration, forcing 'prompt for password' will always give users a
login prompt on every login to the server through published
applications.

In a case where the client had multiple context's users needed to log
into, this setting allowed end users to change their context on login to
the server. So they could certainly also be able to choose 'workstation
only' as well.=20

Have you tried selecting the "use default NT Authentication" from
within the advanced button in the Citrix Connection Configuration. This
would mean that the user (NW that is) will not be able to map drives
within the login script (unless someone knows better) the user would
have to select the Novell login from the start menu. This would then
run any login scripts and other associated object etc with the Novell
client. I have tried to publish the Novell client - it worked. =20

I have a Win2k/MFXPe FR2 farm. Some of my Ctx servers are planned to
be =3D
upgraded to the 4.83 SP1 NetWare Client after testing is complete. I'm
=3D
having a problem passing the user credentials from 2K to the NW client.
 =3D
I found the TID 10024791 which covers all registry changes that are =3D
needed to make this possible. =3D20

I'm trying to pass the credentials to the client and have the client =3D
login window appear with the username and password already in it. The
=3D
user would then have the option to click "OK" to log into NW/2K or
click =3D
"Workstation only" and log into 2K only. This is how the 4.8 older =3D
version of the client worked. By adding the reg changes from the TID I
=3D
can make the credentials pass through the client without seeing the =3D
login window appear. This does me no good as that I have users with
and =3D
without NW accounts, thus an error message is generated when a non NW
=3D
user tries starting a published app.

Any thoughts would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks,
Frank
