Thanks! That was not quite it. However, It did make think of the correctly
solution. There was a strange app there which I did not recognize. I removed
the reg entry. Then did the standard search for all rements of the app. All
gone now.

  Starting with yesterday, all of our users who login (full desktop) are

  getting an explorer window displaying  "E:\" drive. Of course they get

  nothing in it because they are not allowed to see the contents (policy,

  hacks, etc). I have looked through *.ini files several parts of the

  registry, etc (maybe nor good enough) and can not find anything. User can

  close the window and go on with life. But, the next time they login, it

  reappears upon logon.
