Hi,
Doing a bit of spring cleaning part of which is tidying up licensing.
We have a W2K Server running TS licensing but it's pre-SP3 and has loads
of obsolete licences being reported.
My question:
As I want to remove the licensing role from this server is it sensible
to install TS Licensing on a SP3 server and then remove the original
server's TS licensing without transferring the existing licence
database?
My 'logic' is that those clients requiring TSCals (not many as mostly
XP) would just contact the new Licensing server on their next TSE
connection.
Does that make sense or is that a major flaw in there somewhere?
Thanks in advance.
Jane
