You have to be real careful with that... loopback is often required for other things. Make certain you haven't just shot yourself in the foot on other servers. -David From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Doug Rooney Sent: Tuesday, December 15, 2009 3:10 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: New MS Terminal Server Tony, Brilliant! #1 is now fixed, I disabled loopback policy. So #2 is now my focus. Thanks a million ~Doug Rooney Sonoma Tilemakers IT Manager 7750 Bell Rd. Is the computer account of the non-working server in the same AD OU as the working server? You should be able to run 'gpresult' from the command line on the non-working server and get a list of applied Group Policies, if there are any. Could, maybe, be a problem with the local profile of your user account? For issue #2... Any way to print a test page directly from the Wyse terminal to the printer (maybe like what's stated here... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314085 <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314085> ) Tony "Doug Rooney" <Doug@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent by: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 12/15/2009 03:12 PM Please respond to thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To <thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> cc Subject [THIN] Re: New MS Terminal Server Tony, Not sure what a loopback group policy is or how to check. I looked in the event viewer, it just says that the printer printed, the printer is connected to the Wyse terminal via LPT cable. Thank You ~Doug Rooney Sonoma Tilemakers IT Manager 7750 Bell Rd. For issue #2, are you seeing anything in the Event Viewer when you try to print? Is the printer directly connected or does it go through a print server, IP printing, etc? Issues #1 persists... Issues #2, the user can now add a printer, when I sent anything to that printer it acts just like it is printing, but nothing come out of the printer. Now bear in mind, if I log into a different terminal server, everything works just fine. Thank You ~Doug Rooney Sonoma Tilemakers IT Manager 7750 Bell Rd. Well I have several issues, #1, I log directly into the machine as Administrator, yet I only have the choice to log out, not restart or shutdown?!? #2, When I log in as a user, I cannot add a printer, if I add it as Administrator, the user cannot use it properly. These 2 are the current BIG issues. Any thoughts? Thank You ~Doug Rooney Sonoma Tilemakers IT Manager 7750 Bell Rd.
