I would go with RAID5 if you can afford the extra money for drives, and
include 1 drive for hot spare. The differences in performance aren't going
to be noticeable in an Office 2000 environment IMHO. RAID5 + hot spare will
give you the most worry-free setup. I've known people who had a RAID5 array
loose a drive and the hot spare kicked in and they didn't even know they had
a dead drive for months.

Subject: [THIN] New Hardware Config
I need to purchase additional servers for my Office Farm and want the best
performance out of a dual processor box with 1 gig of memory. Should I go
with a Disk Configuration consisting of a RAID5 array with 3 logical drives
for OS, Apps and PageFile, or a Mirror with 3 partitions for OS, Apps and
PageFile. Which is going to give me the best performance for running Office
2000 Apps?
