Re-read the original post... Its 2 drives - Raid 1 - and 3 x Raid 5... and 1
hot spare. Separate channels. So no, the Raid 5 partition is sharing
spindles with the Raid 1 set.
Personally, I would reconfigure the Raid sets into 1xRAID 10 set across both
channels (6 drives, no hotspare). After all, these are Citrix servers.
You don't need the space of 6 drives, but you'll get a major speed boost
with fault tolerance.

RAID uses shared spindles so it doesn't really matter in that type of
environment.
