MessageThere is no TS CAL in the embedded XP units from the information i have been given. Its a real shame as it would have made embedded XP a very attractive proposition indeed. However there is a Technet Article that should make everything clearer. I forgot to post it on my previous post. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q319555 regards ----- Original Message ----- From: Shannon Wyatt To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2002 5:49 PM Subject: [THIN] Re: Netx Thin Clients So are you saying that their is no embedded TS client because of a bug in the licensing service, or are you say that their wont be a license and their is a bug. Kind of sucks that they wouldn't include the license. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of M Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2002 10:13 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Netx Thin Clients Ive been waiting for Compaq embedded Xp thin clients... T21's i believe. They should have been released by now but i was told last week that it is going to be a while longer. I also found out that they dont have an Embedded TS cal which is a bit disappointing ( although there is a bug in the TS license service). I will have to see if they are worth the expected price difference when compared to the T20's. ----- Original Message ----- From: Shannon Wyatt To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 20, 2002 3:04 PM Subject: [THIN] Netx Thin Clients I didn't get any hits when I asked about Embedded XP clients, but I'm sure that if I mention NetX then at least Jim will reply (do you get a kick back or something when you mention their name?) <grin> NetX, Maxspeed, and Wyse have announced that they have Embedded XP clients. Has anyone used one of these?
