ok, when you are looking at the .exe in procexp, rightclick the .exe and
select 'Launch Depends', this will launch the dependency walker, then select
the profiling option withing dependency walker, and it already knows the exe
you want to profile so it just asks for the arguments to pass, you can
select what you want to log...and off you gom, wou will be able to see
exactly what it is doing and where it bombs out... it might be worth using
regmon and filemon also, because the function that is dying may be dying
because it cant access a reg key or file perhaps....

Ooo.. I wasnt aware procexp could log/profile! Although I cant see where you
set it?

All I can see that it does is show you what its doing at that point (give or
take a second or two as well)
