I was looking into Flex Profiles myself.  I'll give it a try.
It is reassuring to know someone else has used it.

        Hi Hector,
         
        Did this a while ago and used the hacked office profile wizard
from Flex Profiles to migrate settings from one set of profiles to
another. You might even like Flex enough to do with roaming profiles.
