Paul,=20 You'll want to go into your network settings and organize your bindings and provider orders.=20 Right click 'my network places' - go to properties - go to advanced - go to advanced settings. On installation the netware client puts itself first in the provider order. This allows for quick access through netware shares, but slower response times from Window's domains.=20 I've found that changes here has allowed domain based access speeds to increase with only a marginal drop in netware based access speeds.=20 HTH J -----Original Message----- From: Ron Oglesby [mailto:roglesby@xxxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Wednesday November 20, 2002 10:54 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Longer login times with Win2K/MFXP I have noticed this with the novell client a bunch. Even to the point that if I use the Novell client and only login "workstation only" it logs in much faster. Average profile size is about 5 megs (can't cut it down much more due to Exceed, which stores a bunch of stuff there). We are an NT4 domain, so policies are all local. I know a lot of the lag started when a) I put Client32 on, and then b) I installed Exceed. Not sure that I can help either of those things however. -Paul > ---------- > From: Pavlo Ignatusha[SMTP:pignatusha@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Reply To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Wednesday, November 20, 2002 1:51 PM > To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [THIN] Re: Longer login times with Win2K/MFXP >=3D20 >=3D20 > When you log on to the W2K server what kind of the status message you see > during this 30 sec?
