No. It's like the Gilligan's Island episode where the crew thinks that a map
that has washed up onto shore gives directions on how to get off the island.
After unsuccessful attempts to leave the island via the map, the Professor
realizes that the people who made this map read from right to left, and so
in fact it is a map on how to get ON TO the island. They proved you simply
can't reverse the directions to get the opposite result.
Exact same thing here.

On a different note, any idea on how to add the Disconnect option to the
start menu? There are tons of articles on how to remove it, but nothing to
add it.

You can put a new icon called "Log Off" using the same icon as the default
Windows button icon and have it associated with a script on the start menu,
but you can't put it in the same location as Logoff is right now? Is it a
start menu icon re-ordering issue?
EzyWin will let you put what you want wherever you want on the start menu.

How is it different than the logoff.exe that's already part of Windows 2003?
I can put together a script, I just can't replace/modify the current 2003
logoff button.. I can hide it, but can't pin a new one to the menu.

You are confused... on that page is a file called Logoff.zip it is an
executable that runs the logoff process. You can run this file in your
script.

Joe,
Why don't you remove Logoff and Shutdown from the start menu, then replace
them with shortcuts to a script(s) that handles your app then shuts the
machine down or logs the user off?

It a published desktop Also, it is a script that is running, the problem
is when users select logoff Windows closes the script before it closes the
application it launches. I need windows to close the application first and
wait for the script to complete.

Publish a wrapper script that starts your app, then closes it. That way,
Windows is terminating your wrapper script.

Hello,
Does anyone know how to change the logoff process? It seems that W2k3
terminates the applications then runs the logoff script. I need to run a
logoff script first in order to shutdown an application in the proper order.
If I let W2k3 terminate the application, it shutdown incorrectly.
Any ideas?
