Kix is definitely easier than VB, but VB can do a lot more than Kix can
(although there are user defined functions available from the Kixtart
web site for most things you would want to be able to do).
I would definitely echo the sentiment that if the script is already in
VB then stick with it, unless it's broken and not working. And whatever
you end up doing, make sure you put lots of comments in so that the next
person can understand what you did!
Have a very long look at the technet scripting site at
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/scriptcenter/default.aspx
There are loads of example scripts, and the various scriptomatic tools
can save a lot of time! For Kixtart, the forums on the kixtart website
will give you lots of help and sample scripts.

I think many would say kix is easier to learn than say vb. But
starting again with any program because the source program 'looks
complicated' can mean that stuff that used to work won't because it
was understood in the first place . effectively it's more hassle to
start again than it would have been to understand the code and not
change anything.
