Yeah. That looks to be it all right. For some reason I thought a 2k license server would do the trick in a 2000 domain. Q823313 says differently. Crap. Oh well. Looks like this is a good time to take the rest of domain to Windows 2003.=20 -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ron Oglesby Sent: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 11:08 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: License Server not working Greg, you said the license server was a 2000 box? And the 2003 cant issue licenses? Just making sure. Because if that is what you are saying that is right. 2000 License servers cant issue license to 2003 TS boxes. I may have messed something up but everything is working just fine. I saw some errors in the event log about not being able to issue a client license. This was on a Windows 2003 Server with Metaframe Xpa FR/SP3. No big deal because all of my clients are connecting. I decided to take a look at my license server which is a Windows 2000 Server with SP6 and it only shows about 4 licenses have been issued out of the 125 we have. The rest are all showing up as available. Only 22 temp licenses have been issued. This is the same license server we had running prior to moving form Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 on our terminal servers. Almost all of the licenses were issued when we were running Windows 2000. I missed something during the upgrade but I am not sure what. Like I said, everything is running fine and none of my users have had trouble connecting. Most of them connect from thin client terminals with a few fat clients connecting at our corporate headquarters.
