Yes you must have the license logging service running for W2K TS Licesing,
unlike in NT 4 where you can turn it off.
You should be able to install the license server before the TS and in fact I
think that this is the recommended method.

Subject: [THIN] License Server

Is there any harm to installing the license server component on one of =
my Win2K domain controllers prior to any my windows 2000 terminal =
servers being up?

Do the license server components have anything to do with the License =
Logging Service?

Thanks!
