I use this KVM with no problems. I am assuming you are having the issues only when going over IP but if it is from the console there is no latency. I would check your firmware version as there were some bugs fixed in the latest firmware. When connecting via IP you need to do the automatic video adjust under the tools menu. There was also another trick in the manual video adjust my changing the noise adjustment to minimum and then increasing the amount a little bit with the sliding bar. Hope were talking about the same KVM's. -----Original Message----- From: Bollman, Mike [mailto:MBollman@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2005 6:59 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: KVM switch recommendation I'm confused, are you currently using the avocent dsr4020? If so and it is giving you mouse sync issues do this. Login to the console, goto control panel, double click mouse, goto the motion tab and select none under acceleration. Once you do this hit the resync mouse button at the top of the screen. Wham, your in business. This is a per user profile setting so it is best to implement via reg hack/script/etc. Mike Bollman Network Engineer Enterprise Products mbollman@xxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of eamin@xxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, January 31, 2005 4:11 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] KVM switch recommendation I am looking for a kvm switch that is better than then one we have right now. http://www.avocent.com/web/en.nsf/Content/DSR4020 The mouse is out of sink and i need to replacement ASAp.
