[THIN] Re: KB: Deploying Citrix MetaFrame on IBM eServer BladeCenter

Where I was coming from was the source docs being directly on the Citrix
site like the IBM one is.

I've seen that HP doco before - I thought it focused more on giving an
indicator on sizeing/capacity, rather than how to try and best configure the
setup (like the IBM one is).

Likewise, Dell have some useful documentation on customizing ADS for
deployment of PEdge
servers(http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/solutions/deploying_pedge_ads_d
tk_wpapr.pdf)

Neither the HP or the Dell go into the configuration of their blade setups
like the IBM one does.

And, like Joe, I was interested to see IBM's take on the SAN back end for
the drives..

What do you mean they have them already... just search blades and Citrix on
HP site:
Like this:

Scalability and performance of HP ProLiant BL45p server blade with Citrix
Presentation Server x64

http://h71019.www7.hp.com/ActiveAnswers/downloads/ScalePerform_CitrixPSx64_B
L45p_1005.pdf

This is a bit older

Scalability and performance of HP ProLiant BL20p G3 server blades in an HP
SBC environment
http://h71019.www7.hp.com/ActiveAnswers/downloads/bl20p_performance_aw_3.pdf

And one from IBM
Deploying Citrix MetaFrame on IBM eServer

BladeCenter with IBM FAStT Storage

Interesting.. IBM wants to backend the Citrix Servers to their storage box.
I wonder if this is because the onboard SCSI Raid controller is so freak'n
slow..
