Most likely the issue is the java version. Check the product doc versus what you have. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Durf Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 2004 3:20 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] JRE/Interbase application Hi folks; Anyone know anything in general about Java/JRE applications that connect to Interbase servers instances, where the whole shebang runs on the Citrix server? This lovely mess is a product of a camera company called Zeiss, that requires the Citrix box to run the database server locally and have the boot drive labelled C:. The Java program starts from a bat file that calls the JRE followed by a number of arguments, I have a feeling there's a missing environmental variable but can't put my finger on it. It also uses it's own bundled JRE, so the command line is like: @start /MAX c:\apps\jre\bin\javaw -path-to-jar-file -option1 -option2 The application will run from the console but from no terminal or citrix session. In general are there problems with publishing a Java app invoked by a JRE bat/cmd file in this manner, esp. on a machine with the CMC installed on it (and therefore, another version of the JRE?) -- -------------- 'The difference between theory and practice is larger in practice than it is in theory.' ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor Activaeon.com Reduce licensing costs with activAeon XA and get one month completely free. http://www.activaeon.com ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm ThinWiki community http://www.thinwiki.com *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm ******************************************************** This Weeks Sponsor Activaeon.com Reduce licensing costs with activAeon XA and get one month completely free. http://www.activaeon.com ********************************************************** Useful Thin Client Computing Links are available at: http://thin.net/links.cfm ThinWiki community http://www.thinwiki.com *********************************************************** For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: http://thin.net/citrixlist.cfm
