[THIN] Re: Interesting read: Microsoft Malware report from Malicious Software removal tool

LOL. Microsoft has disclosed it. The problem is that most people who complain
about it don't read the EULA! Come on guys. Quit your bitching if you aren't
going to bother to read what is right in front of your eyes. Heck, Microsoft
discloses the fact that it sends back information to them right on their KB
too. Look at article ID 890830. How else do you think any of the virus
companies out there get the numbers they quote?

As long as you are not using pirated copies of their operating systems there
should be no worries. :)

No. That's besides the point. The point is this is all being done without
proper disclosure.

Interesting that Microsoft has exact numbers. Yet another Microsoft product
that phones home.

Microsoft has released an interesting report on some results from their
Malicious Software Removal tool. There are some pretty shocking results of the
amount of virii this thing has cleaned. For example 4.4 million removals of
Win32/Rbot, another interesting statistic..the tool cleaned one computer that
had over 251 variants of malware. I can only imagine what that person was doing
on the web. : )
