[THIN] Re: Interesting Access Gateway licensing for XenDesktop

Thanks, I was pondering this question right when you sent this clarification.
This generally is good news.

Of course it always leads to questions- we have a customer that wants Xen
Desktop Advanced AND SSL VPN so it appears that they will have to buy the
normal CAG license to do that.

Overall though I think iti is cool that Xen Desktop includes at least the SG
portion of the cag license.........

Subject: [THIN] Interesting Access Gateway licensing for XenDesktop

I was reading the XenDesktop readme and came across this little gem. If this
licensing enhancement was added to XenApp then we will finally have a cost
effective replacement for Secure Gateway.

Clarification of Citrix Access Gateway license rights: Citrix Access Gateway,
when provided as a component of XenDesktop Standard Edition, XenDesktop
Advanced Edition or XenDesktop Enterprise Edition, is licensed for use only on
a Citrix Access Gateway appliance running Citrix Access Gateway Standard
Edition in support of only XenDesktop. You are entitled to use any feature of
Citrix Access Gateway Standard Edition with the exception of the Secure Access
Client (VPN) and Endpoint analysis. If you licensed XenDesktop Platinum
Edition, your Citrix Access Gateway licenses may be used on any Citrix Access
Gateway appliance running any edition of Citrix Access Gateway in support of
any traffic (ICA or otherwise) and include use of all features of Citrix Access
Gateway, including the Secure Access Client and Endpoint analysis. If
